All athletes at this competition set new personal bests and two athletes brought home some hardware!
Braxton Phommarath brought home a bronze medal in the 56kg category for Saskatchewan, and David Samoya took the gold in the 85kg class with a record breaking 285kg total!.
Congratulations to all of the following athletes, we were proud to have you represent us in Ontario.

Synergy in Saskatoon will be holding an open competition on February 4th. This competition is open to all Saskweightlifting members. If you are not yet a member, you can fill out a membership the day of the competition ($25 for 20 and under, $40 for over 20 years of age.) There is a $25 dollar participation fee due the day of the competition.

3) Introductions: Members of the BOD were introduced. John Shurniak, new staff member was introduced to the Association. John will be working on a part-time basis.
4) 2010 AGM Minutes: Ken read off the minutes from 2010 AGM. Noted that future minutes and documents will be placed on the website.

5) President’s Report: Ken Trofimuk presented his report. Talked about the quality of the very recent Moose Jaw Competition. Discussed coaching clinics, and improving base of officials

6) Treasurer Report: Jocelyne Moe presented her report. Discussed an increase of revenue due to more money received from Sask Sport, and an increase in membership. A small profit was also made at the Junior Nationals. Expenses were consistent compared to previous years

8 ) Ammendments
A) 4 Year Forward Plan was presented to the AGM. Forward Plan is to be submitted to Sask Sport. Highlights were mentioned including the budget, the goals of SWA and its priorities.

B) MAP Changes are coming from Sask Sport.

C) Elite Athlete Criteria was discussed in order to be eligible for certain funding. Criteria was discussed including being in good standing with SWA. Ammendments were recommended to lower the Sinclair rating criteria for levels 2 (175 to 170) & 3 (160 to 150) females .
